About the seminar poster:
The poster is based on the famous "We Can Do It!" poster from WWII, often known as the "Rosie the Riveter" poster. The original poster has become an icon of sorts in southeast Michigan and associated with the "Arsenal of Democracy" Willow Run aircraft assembly plant in Ypsilanti, near Ann Arbor. While a Michigan woman, Geraldine Doyle, was thought to be the inspiration for the poster, it is likely that the real model for this "Rosie" was a woman named Naomi Parker. Ms. Parker lived in Alameda, CA - coincidentally the same city where Drake Sensei did much of her foundational training at the Alameda Aikikai under Michael Flynn Shihan (now of Thistle Aikikai in Scotland, UK).
