Welcome to the home page for the first Southeast Michigan Aikikai Inter-Dojo Keiko!

Our area is fortunate to have several Aikido dojos, each representing important currents of teaching within the broader Aikikai (Hombu) community. Please join us for this event to meet some new people, get some new perspectives, and have some fun after these past two years of limited training opportunities! If you have never been to an Aikido seminar, don't be shy - our aim is to make the day enjoyable and accessible for everyone regardless of rank or experience.

COVID Hygiene

Presently the University of Michigan does not require mask wearing in any of its indoor facilities, though you are of course welcome to wear a mask if you care to. We will post a notice on this page should the University's policy change. The training space itself is very large, will be open to outside air, and has fans for air circulation.

All participants are encouraged to be fully vaccinated (primary series + booster). If you have *any* symptoms of COVID-19 on the day of the training, please do not attend unless you can confirm that you are negative using a home antigen test (or preferably two, spaced a few hours apart).

Full refunds of the training fee will be made to anyone who needs to stay home due to a positive COVID test or close exposure (e.g., someone tests positive in your household).

Thanks for staying vigilant to help keep our Aikido community healthy!

Location

The University of Michigan Sports Coliseum is located at the corner of Hill St. and Fifth Avenue in Ann Arbor, near the "Big House" and directly across Hill St. from the practice/Marching Band football field. There is ample free parking at the Coliseum for training participants, and it is only a few blocks from the food and other attractions of downtown Ann Arbor.

We will have some sort of changing facilities available. You may wish to bring flip flops or some such for walking around the spaces off the mats.

PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR $25 TRAINING FEE USING THE PAYPAL BUTTON BELOW.
